Yes and no. Carl Sagan was a scientist, teacher, environmental activist and peacemaker. And so much more. Mostly people remember him from his award-winning series COSMOS. I encourage you to search for Carl Sagan's COSMOS on GoogleVideo.
You can also search YouTube for over 70 various fan homages to his "Pale Blue Dot" monologue, from his book of the same name.
