Nokia N810 tablet improves on iPhone & Treo specs
Uploaded by: mytreodotnet
Video Description:
Nokia recently released a high resolution multimedia Internet tablet that comes complete with GPS, WiFi, slide out QWERTY keyboard, VGA camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and high-resolution 4.13" WVGA display. Available with up to 10GB of memory (2GB internal and an 8GB memory card), this new offering can hold more documents, movies and music - and display them in a clearer way - than any Palm, Apple, HTC, i-mate or RIM smartphone on the market.
What's the catch? Nokia's Linux enabled N810 can only be used to make calls over WiFi with Skype. It does not have a mobile phone antenna.

who cares? it's a bit big for a cell phone isn't it? It's intended at a secondary device, an internet device, hence the name: Nokia Internet Tablet
The HTC equivalents (Shift and Advantage) can connect to the internet over the air without wifi. Had Nokia implemented a mobile phone antenna, that would have been possible for the N810 as well. Also you would be able to make calls.
Besides WiFi it also has Bluetooth so you can pair it with your mobile phone and use your cellular data network.
And the Nokia N810 is the hottest thing on the planet. Fully open-source means a ton of ~free~ software. I'm also running emulators on my 770 - Frodo C64, PALM OS, DosBox, UAE amiga emulator etc.
Use a cheapo bluetooth phone, the N810 connects to internet with it. Its better than putting a radio in it, which only limits your choices for provider.
and i was gunna get one so that i could have someting better than the iphone =[

Some people (like me) likes to have a separated small phone.
