Sanyo Xacti HD1000 camera review 1080i, this is my 2nd video and I'm a little bit nervous but gave my 2 cents worth, I own the new HD1000. (This video is captured in the HD1000 lowest quality setting 320x240 30fps WEBCAM Setting), any bigger youtube would NOT accept a Bigger file, sorry! (The Highest Quality is 1920x1080i or 720p 60fps) Uses an MPEG4 H.264 superior Codec.

yes'- I think its much better than the Panasonic's SDR. BUY the Sanyo HD1000, you cannot go wrong.!

I bought one of these recently, got it in Hong Kong for abot £250 with an extra battery and 8Gb memory card. I use it for underwater video and am very pleased. Just one problem if you shoot in full high resolution, it is not possible to use iMovie for video editing. For some reason, iMovie does not like the full high res files. Any thoughts or workarounds?

iMovie will deal with every other movie format recorded with the HD1000 except for full 1080i, 60fps. I have decided to avoid using the 1080i format...

Hi does the camcorder have a audio gain meter/level control?. I am planing on getting the 1010 version and be using it sometimes for filming music concerts with loud sound. Therefore i will need to adjust the audio.

Hey your review was awesome thanks. But I have a question, does the Sanyo Xacti have an external mic input... I'm really curious about this because I bought A mic and I want to use it with this camera. But still I want to use it for Family vacations and such. :D Thanks

i just brought a sanyo hd1000 2 days ago its totally cool. i found out tho that i need a more powerful pc for it to come out superb. but its all good, ill be sticking with this camera for a while i think.

Yes the Sanyo HD1000 I Can confirm has an external Mic, which has many different settings on the Mic pickup, go ahead and buy, I promise you will not be disapointed at all. What a BARGAIN.!! Thanks for your question friend, cheers! - David.
